上海溫哥華電影學(xué)院是一所中外合作培養(yǎng)影視及娛樂人才的一年制非學(xué)歷高等教育學(xué)院。合作雙方為國家重點高校上海大學(xué)和加拿大頗具規(guī)模的娛樂藝術(shù)人才培訓(xùn)學(xué)校溫哥華電影學(xué)院。2014年6月15日，上海大學(xué)與加拿大溫哥華電影學(xué)院在上海國際電影節(jié)上召開新聞發(fā)布會，聯(lián)合宣布正式成立上海溫哥華電影學(xué)院。學(xué)院由上海市政府指導(dǎo)建立，上海市文廣局、市教委、閘北區(qū)政府與上海大學(xué)均為理事單位。上海溫哥華電影學(xué)院首批引進溫哥華電影學(xué)院全日制一年期的“電影制作、3d動畫與視覺效果、視覺媒體聲音設(shè)計、影視化裝設(shè)計”4個專業(yè)，2015年將引進“影視表演”和“游戲設(shè)計”專業(yè)。以后還會陸續(xù)引進“影視劇作、娛樂產(chǎn)業(yè)管理、經(jīng)典動畫”等專業(yè)。學(xué)院實行全英文教學(xué)。未來，學(xué)院還會針對中國市場開發(fā)適和的長短期課程，并定期對已有課程進行更新。辦學(xué)前三年，學(xué)院80%師資來自北美，均為擁有豐富產(chǎn)業(yè)經(jīng)驗和教學(xué)經(jīng)驗的業(yè)界翹楚。除了一流的國際化師資外，學(xué)院還配有一流的教學(xué)設(shè)備，實行高強度高密度沉浸式實踐教學(xué)，以培養(yǎng)符合國際電影工業(yè)標準的高端人才。除了原汁原味引進教學(xué)體系外，圍繞上海溫哥華電影學(xué)院，市政府還作為重點工程，同步打造“環(huán)上海大學(xué)國際影視產(chǎn)業(yè)園區(qū)”。其中上海大學(xué)延長路校區(qū)作為核心區(qū)，規(guī)劃建設(shè)了電影、電視、美術(shù)、創(chuàng)意設(shè)計4所藝術(shù)類學(xué)院，影視制作、作品展示、影視云智慧服務(wù)3大平臺，中國藝術(shù)研究院上海分院、中國社科院上海發(fā)展研究院2個研究機構(gòu)，以及大學(xué)科技園（影視文化主題）的“4321”計劃，吸引一批政府服務(wù)、內(nèi)容創(chuàng)作、渠道發(fā)行、后期制作、教育培訓(xùn)、文化金融、法律服務(wù)類的優(yōu)質(zhì)資源和機構(gòu)向園區(qū)集中，打造世界一流的影視教育和影視產(chǎn)業(yè)基地。
